The Municipality of Konavle, in cooperation with the Centre for Entrepreneurship of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County, is organizing the event "KONAVLE CIRCLE - Festival of Sustainable Living" (pilot action), which will be held on Friday and Saturday, April the 24th and 25th, at several locations in Konavle. The program includes a series of diverse activities that connect tradition with modern concepts of the circular economy, with the aim of educating citizens and empowering local producers. The purpose of the event is to show that the circular economy is not just a theoretical concept, but a concrete and applicable way of life that contributes to the preservation of resources and the creation of a sustainable future for Konavle.
The first day of the festival is dedicated to workshops, expert lectures and panel discussions in which children, farmers, entrepreneurs and representatives of local government participate.
The second day of the festival is reserved for a fair of indigenous products at which Konavle producers will present their products and handicrafts, thus further promoting short supply chains as an important element of the circular economy. The program ends with a workshop focused on proper composting in households, with the aim of reducing biowaste and encouraging the production of your own natural fertilizer.
