The Cadmos Village adventure park is nestled in the pristine nature of Konavle Field, in an oak forest near the village of Komaji. It was founded about 10 years ago by two friends and enthusiasts, Zoran Ateljević and Goran Jerković, experienced mountaineers and mountain rescuers. At the time, it was a bold decision, but the years that followed proved that these young Konavle locals had a great vision, into which they invested their time, passion, patience, perseverance, and knowledge. The only adventure park in Konavle has been improving year after year, with more and more attractions that offer a new way to experience nature, the opportunity to test one’s endurance, and also very good fun.
What brought them together in this business venture was the desire to allow visitors to enjoy everything they themselves love – adrenaline-filled activities, nature, and the beauty of Konavle. To bring their shared idea to life, they incorporated the values of their own approach to life and the knowledge gained through higher education, Zoran as a Master of Public Relations and Goran as a graduate of economics. Their park is built among the treetops, in a quiet setting that takes us back to the fundamental sense of peace that overtakes us when we are in touch with nature. For those who seek deeper tranquility and true rest, they built a cozy treehouse. A stay here can be both inspiring and enlightening, when we realize how little we actually need to feel fulfilled and happy. Living among the treetops, even for a short while, gives a sense of freedom, like the one birds experience in their daily lives.
However, visitors to Cadmos Village more often come in search of excitement and adrenaline, brought by activities like ziplining, climbing, archery, and cycling through nature. In just over 10 years since its opening, it has become a popular spot for family outings, team-building programs, and school excursions, as well as an increasingly attractive destination for tourists looking for an active and unconventional vacation. Creating Cadmos Village required a great deal of effort, patience, and expertise. Over the years it has become a synonym for adventure in nature, moments spent together, and a must-see destination for the growing number of visitors who want to spend their valuable free time actively and healthily, in the deep shade beneath the treetops of centuries-old trees and across the vast expanse of Konavle Field.
Although great enthusiasm carried them in the idea of making an adventure park, it was not easy. The construction had to be adapted to the natural surroundings, the material had to be entirely environmentally acceptable, and besides the desire for everything to be flawlessly executed aesthetically, a great deal of attention had to be paid to the safety of the entire construction. As much as had to be invested in construction, just as demanding is its maintenance throughout the year, as well as the upgrading of new features that make every return to this adventure park full of surprises.
