On Saturday, November 7, the Oldtimer Club Dubrovnik is organizing the "Oldtimer Rally Dubrovnik ’26," which, for the first time, will begin at Dubrovnik Airport. After fifteen-years the rally returns to the Konavle region for its first two stages. Interest has been record-breaking: the event reached full capacity less than three hours after registration opened a month ago. Around 150 participants—arriving from Croatia, neighbouring countries, as well as the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Germany—will bring with them approximately 100 rare and unique historic vehicles, ranging from 30 to 90 years old.
The first stage begins at 10:00 AM at Ruđer Bošković Airport. The convoy will travel via Zvekovica and the "Gornja banda" route toward Sokol Grad (Sokol Fortress), where participants will visit the largest fortification of the Republic of Dubrovnik. The second stage starts at 11:30 AM, leading through Ljuta and the Konavle Field to Čilipi. There, participants will enjoy a visit to the local heritage museum and a folklore performance, while the cars will be displayed on the local sports ground. The third stage begins at 1:00 PM, following the Adriatic Highway through Župa Dubrovačka toward the city of Dubrovnik. The vehicles are expected to reach the finish line—passing through the Ploče Gate—at approximately 1:45 PM. The cars will then be on display along the Stradun and in the square in front of the Rector’s Palace until 5:30 PM. Among the cars on display, highlights will include a very rare Ferrari 328, a BMW E9, a BMW M635 CSi, and an Opel Omega Evo 500, as well as a Volvo Amazon and various generations of the prestigious Mercedes-Benz SL and S-Class, and the Porsche 911.
The Dubrovnik Oldtimer Rally traditionally marks the end of the classic car meet season organized under the auspices of the Croatian Oldtimer Federation. Scheduled between the summer season and the Advent period, the event attracts participants from distant countries—a testament to the Oldtimer Club Dubrovnik’s commitment to promoting Dubrovnik and Konavle as a desirable destination for gatherings of historic vehicles. The City of Dubrovnik serves as the general patron of the Rally, which is held with the support of the Municipality of Konavle, the Dubrovnik Tourist Board, the Konavle Municipality Tourist Board, the Society of Friends of Dubrovnik Antiquities, and Ruđer Bošković Airport.
The Rally will take place on public roads in full compliance with traffic regulations, supported by the traffic police and municipal traffic wardens, ensuring that regular traffic flow remains uninterrupted. The organizers ask other road users for their understanding as the convoy of classic cars passes; the participants will make every effort to keep pace with modern traffic.
As the event has reached full capacity, registration for participation will not be possible on the day of the Rally.
